Our Finka – A Place Surrounded by Nature

Our 3.5-hectare finka is nestled in a peaceful, green landscape and surrounded by abundant trees, including tall coconut palms.

This is a place where nature truly comes alive. Wide open spaces, fresh air, and the calming sounds of the countryside create an atmosphere of pure relaxation. Across the farm, you will meet many of our animals – sheep, rabbits, roosters, turkeys, goats, cows, ducks, and our three friendly dogs – all part of our growing family.

In the early morning, you can enjoy birdwatching as the day begins with soft light and birdsong. At night, fireflies light up the darkness, creating a quiet little magic all around you.

Here, you can slow down, breathe deeply, and simply reconnect with nature.

“Hallo, good afternoon, and welcome to our home. I am Lornie.
I was born in Cebu and grew up with eleven siblings. Since I was 28, the sea has been my world – for twelve years I sailed and worked on a boat.
In 2008, my husband and I bought the finka property that was more like a jungle. The first year was the hardest, as we cleared and cleaned everything from scratch. At first, we lived in a small wooden hut and in 2013, we completed the concrete main building.
Since i am 6 years old, cooking has been one of my biggest hobbies. I love sharing meals and warmth with others. I also have a big heart for animals and always care deeply for them.
My life philosophy is simple:

My name is Ren, and I am Lornie’s brother.
The sea has been a big part of my life for many years. Most of the time, I am working at sea, traveling far from home.
In the past, I worked at sea together with my sister Lornie and her husband. During those years, we built a deep bond, sharing challenges, experiences, and unforgettable moments on board. Those times brought us very close as a family.
Whenever I am not working, I spend my time at the finca. It is my place to rest, recharge, and enjoy a quieter life.
When I am at the finca, I truly enjoy welcoming guests. I love showing them around the property and the surrounding area, sharing interesting facts and stories. It makes me happy to see people discover the beauty of this place and feel at home here.
