The best way to reach our finka is by fast ferry from Cebu to Tubigon. Below you will find details.

Getting to the Ferry Terminal in Cebu

Ferries to Bohol depart from Cebu Pier 1 or Pier 3, located near downtown Cebu City.

  • From Mactan–Cebu International Airport (CEB):
    Travel time: 30–60 minutes, depending on traffic
    Transport options: Taxi or Grab (recommended)

  • From Cebu City hotels:
    Travel time: 15–30 minutes, depending on location

We recommend arriving at the terminal at least 45–60 minutes before departure to allow time for ticket validation and boarding procedures.


Ferry from Cebu to Tubigon

Fast ferries operate daily between Cebu and Tubigon Port.

  • Travel time: 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours
  • Sea conditions may slightly affect travel time.

Two of the most reliable ferry companies are:

  • Lite Ferries
  • FastCat

Both offer multiple departures throughout the day, typically starting in the early morning (around 6:00 AM) until late afternoon.

Ticket Information
  • Booking online in advance is highly recommended, especially during peak season and holidays.
  • Ticket classes usually include Tourist Class and Business Class.

Upon arrival at Tubigon Port, you will exit through the main passenger terminal.

Car Rental or Private Pickup Service

You can rent a car at almost every major port and airport in Bohol. Car rental services are available upon arrival at Tagbilaran Port, Tubigon Port, Panglao Airport, and other key entry points. This option offers flexibility if you prefer to explore the island at your own pace.

by Bus

For budget-conscious travelers, public buses and vans are available from both Tubigon Port and Tagbilaran City to Danao, Bohol. Please note that public transportation may require transfers and longer travel times.

If you arrive at Tubigon Port, you can take public transportation from the bus terminal in Tubigon. You can take a tricycle from the port that takes 5-10 minutes.

Bus or Van to Danao

  • Travel time: Approximately 1 to 1.5 hours
  • Route: Tubigon → Carmen → Danao
  • Buses may stop frequently along the way

Please inform the driver that you are going to Danao town. From the town center, a short tricycle ride is required to reach our finka.

Tagbilaran Port is another arrival point on Bohol, mainly for ferries coming from Cebu. From here, you can continue your journey to Danao by bus or van. You can take a tricycle or taxi from the port that takes 10-15 minutes.

Bus or Van

  • Travel time: Approximately 2 to 3 hours depending on stops
  • Route: Tagbilaran → Loboc → Bilar → Carmen → Danao
  • Some routes may require a transfer in Carmen

Buses and vans operate throughout the day, but schedules may vary. It is recommended to travel earlier in the day to avoid late arrivals.

Important Travel Notes

  • Public transportation is the most economical option but less convenient with large luggage.
  • Travel times may vary depending on road conditions and number of stops.
  • We recommend arriving in Danao before sunset, as rural areas have limited lighting at night.
  • Please inform us of your estimated arrival time so we can assist you if needed.
